He's putting the mouse hardware at the TOP of the probe. Think of
attaching a tiny mouse pad on top of a pencil.With the mouse
hardware 'held' stationary above it. You hold the pencil loosely
between your fingers, and 'probe'. When you hit something, the pencil
twitches, the mouse pad on top of it moves, and the mouse hardware
picks up THIS movement...
