It doesn't matter, Its all relative. All we are doing with the probe is
detecting movement -- relative movement. When the long end of the probe
moves, that movement is detected and the probe's position at the other end
is recorded, noted, listed, captured, whatever is required by your
digitizing software. Position of the short end of the probe is determined
by the XYZ readings for the probe carriage.
