K6s work just fine with Mandrake 7, 7.1, 7.2 and Redhat5.2 I have a
no name kit PC with a K6 550 running Mandrake 7 and EMC. I also have
an older k6 233 running Redhat 5.2 and EMC. If you need these
versions of Linux, let me know. If you follow Tim's instructions or
Ray's instructions, you won't have a problem setting either of these
versions up.
