If you are using a generic monitor, are you limited to 640 x 480 ? If so,
then the EMC display will be cut off, but it really isn't that bad. I have a
similar setup, but I twiddled with the sync parameters, so that I get a
usable display at 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 (interlaced). These are poor
displays, but it hasn't burned out the monitor (yet). If you can do 800 x 600,
you can see the entire EMC window on the screen which is nice when
you are concerned about problems in a new NC program, as you
can see the preview section of the window at the bottom.
