I have found that some times a broken carbide end mill can be ground with a
pointed chisel point on the end. If you run this at as high of a speed that
you can with no coolant it will cut it's way through the tap. Doesn't always
work but when it does you'll be happy that you have a junk box where your
broken end mills go.
