Well, anodizing is written on another page. Even the comercial anodizers have big problems to
keep a constant quality. Any little contamination in the baths (specialy silicium what you have in many
aluminum alloys) (more than 12 different highly corrosive chemicals for plain black) gives a horrible finish. The current you need
is not at all little.
Big shops normally donĀ“t accept tiny work because they fear to spill their bath. And the small ones
work frequently for Jewelers and so they charge.
According to an old saying: "One Hand washes the other."
Get a personel contact to somebody relevant in a big shop, ask him about the right aluminum they use and make a repair for him for a
realy good price or for free. And he will put your few pieces on the rack.
You will be better off not to invest in your own line for just a few pieces.
