Me too, I spent a small fortune on Polaroid film.

I had the same desire for a cheap camera and I tried a JamCam2 from
Walmart for $80. The pictures were nothing to write home about, and as
there was no LCD viewfinder, you never knew what you were going to get
until you downloaded it into your PC. The downloading took FOREVER, I
mean like 10 minutes/picture! I returned the camera... I eventually
bought a Sony FD-73 on ebay for $330 (Camera only), and then bought a
high capacity battery ($60) & charger ($50) at Battery Warehouse. The
big selling point of this camera over all the others (for me), was that
it stores images as .jpg files on a built in 3.5" floppy drive. Those
memory modules for other cameras are really expensive and that limits
the amount of "film" you can take with you on an outing, plus you need
either a special drive on the PC or USB support to retrieve your pictures.
