The probe you mean about wasn't actually meant to land on an asteroid it was
for some sort of observation task. Then when they didn't need it anymore
they thought that there was a chance it might survive landing on this
asteroid so they gave it a go just to see what happened. The one I'm talking
about was definitly not a success. I think the UK could use a launch pad,
we could put it right in the middle of Manchester (read cardboard city).
It'd proberly get stolen though before they could use it for anything.
