Mars probe (was Re: gm-cm to oz/inches conversion?)

on 2001-02-22 14:23:02 UTC
I know that the last mars probe failed. The surface probes crashed
or the Martians decided that we should not get data from them or
something.

The Mars probe before that was a flaming disaster. Seems NASA and
all their wisdom, laid out the earth to Mars route in miles and then
the final Mars orbit in meters. Seems the darn thing came up and
landed short.

It would have been neat to see it burn up in the atsmosphere.
