Hi Smoke:
I didn't say ALL combination machines are abysmal; I just said THOSE
combination machines are abysmal.
Build us one that's done properly, and I'll change my tune completely.
A combo machine will always be more of a pain to get work done on than
dedicated equipment, but I realize that lots of us have space constraints,
budget constraints etc.
The problem with the stuff currently on the market, is that it is so
hopelessly poorly made, that you effectively double your trouble trying to
work accurately or quickly on it.
The machine trades are challenging enough without the added burden of gear
so poorly made.
The advertisements the dealers for this stuff are making, border on fraud.
There's now a whole bunch of guys out there learning bad habits imposed by
their shitty machines, and buying tons of expensive accessories and CNC
conversion packages with no clear idea that they're trying to make a silk
purse out of a piece of crap.I find that a shame!
So that's my rant, and I'm sticking by it!!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Marcus
