.pdf files ? I think there are worth their weight in sillycon.
Mouser has their whole catalogue (electronics) on CD and it is all
in .pdf It was a pain to get used to but now, I hate those vendors
like MSC who use the old datablase technology.
The graphics I print are first rate. The text is perfect. .pdf has
made manuals and data sheets and even catalogues much better. They
print on my old laser jet II in perfect condition.
I am still frustrated when the vendor puts their catalogue on .pdf
sheets and offers a really lousy index. ie: McMaster Carr.
Since the whole intenet thing is only 10 years old, give it a chance
to grow up a little more.
