I haven't thought this through fully but might there be a problem
with clearance if you try using a tap to mill a thread? The reason
I think there may be is because a tap doesn't have any "back rake"
on the threaded portion. Another problem is that the thread "form"
on a tap has a "pitch" to it as it revolves around the tap. Of
course I've never actually tried any of this so I may be full of it.
