There is an article in I think Machinists Bedside Reader #3 (I think) that is
supposed to work well, one of the secrets is to have air bubbling thru the
water so everything hardens/cools at a different time during the quench
cycle. there was a lot of detail on the charcoals used for the case soaking
period.
