Hi Peter,

As for me, I understand orthogonal projection pretty well. As A machine
designer/draftsman for over 30 years, i've made my share of both isometric
and ortho drawings. Sometimes drawing all six views as well as sections,
compound angle projections, etc.

One of the things I ran acroos in the "trade" was drawings from overseas
(Europe) where the projections were in reverse of the way it's done in the
US. This takes a lot of though sometimes to figure out what the person drew
when a compound angle sectional projection is drawn "upside down and/or
backwards" (to us).

I'm having trouble understanding exactly what it is your trying to do.
Perhaps this is due to something of a similar nature where your describing
something that sounds plain to you but comes acroos in "Greek" to others?

Based on what you've just said about a "cartoon" unfolding into a flat plane
gives me a much better picture.
I'm sure there is a simple way of doing this with RHINO (I have the actual
program..not the demo) but I haven't looked into it to much 'cause I've been
really busy working on the Dreammachine and other projects.

If I get a chance to, i'll look into it for you. Just what panes do you
need to make transparent...and why?
