I was able to get the circular plastic twist lock amp connectors for my
system. I
used these on my "hobby" mill with nice results. They are obviously not
as good
as the aluminum ones, but at a tenth the price, they will do for
a lot of applications. Mouser sells them in small quantities. When
coupled
with the strain relief, they make a nice cable for most applications,
tho I
would probably spring for the big bucks if it was a machine I'd be
selling/upgrading
for someone.
I think I did each side (plug/recept/cover/strain relive/pins for about
$12 per
connector, with 4 connectors for encoders & limits, and 4 connectors for
amp outputs,
plus one for E-stop and other "misc" signals.
