"Sneakernet" refers to the very reliable, high bandwidth network created by
running between machines (in your best sneakers - must be Nike or a
similarly prestigious label, of course) carrying fists full of floppy
disks, CD Roms, mag tapes, ... etc. You wouldn't find it on the M$ website
because the technology is far too recent... ;-)

Actually, with a few DAT tapes in your pocket, you can achieve MUCH higher
data transfer rates with sneakernet than with 100 Mbit/s Ethernet.
