you use some sandpaper on it first. It is used for proximity sensors on
aircraft
and there is always lots left over when installing a new sensor. Everything
we
do is crimp on so it doesn't matter, but I like to use the excess on my
projects.
The wire is copper with some kind of coating that makes it impossible to
solder
without scraping the coating off first. It has a virtually industructable
insulation
on it.
