Not that this will help much, but I think a 3D animation program,
such as 3D Studio Max should be able to work out the motor movements
via scripting to control the arm moves as it's set up to handle
complex animations and linked joint movements. It will also take
input from a digitising arm (Microscribe). Maybe there's an
alternative animation package that you might be able to take a look
at ? Thing is finding a package that you can expand and modify via
simple scripting, without learning advanced programing. Maybe
something open source under Linux ? Does anyone know of one ?
