I used a couple of pipe rollers to move my 10EE a while ago. Worked fine
once I figured out there was a recess at one end that was catching the pipe.
Still took forever to move it 20 feet. 10EEs don't have the '2 feet'
problem, but that recess is probably worse

I also used that technique to move a Hardinge horizontal mill.

Moving my Bridgeport is a piece of cake - it's on a caster stand with
4 jack screws on the corners. Drop the screws and push. Ditto with
the vertical bandsaw. The casters I put on the Miller 300A Tig were
seriously substandard though. With that one, it's push and curse.
