Hello Jon,
That is the reason why I mention the c profile frame.
Weld a simple but beefy frame and put dollies or bars under it.
That a lathe is wobbling I can confirm.
1990 when there was the Limon earthquake I was sitting between the lathe
(that stood only on two pallets) and the wall.
Not only the walls had an amplitude of 1 meter, but the lathe was close
to tip over too.
I agree with you in SAFETY FIRST.
In december the first time in my life I dropped a automatic band saw of
1 ton.
BUM BUM ... I got really excited.
Luckily no damage and no injuries.
