BTW, I use SafeTap a lot for things like flycutting. You would be amazed
at how little you can smear across the surface and still get a good
finish. It does smell a bit odd however. My previous boss would have a
cow if I used it for anything in the shop that caused it to give of that
aroma. I sorta like it, smells like my cooking...<G>
Used it at the former job for form tapping 304SS, so it's up to the
task. In paste form it comes in a jar, also availble in a waxy stick.
This is slick for turning, on a finish pass just rub it along the part
before engaging the feed. It's also a good sanding belt lube if applied
sparingly. Use too much and it'll clog the belt.
