Peter,
No, no need for one. It is simply not possible for the plastic
pen to force any movement even if it were 0.1" off center especially
when the pen has virtually no rolling resistance.
Nuf said.

PS.
I do want a way to lock the spindle for tightening/loosening
drawbolts. Any good ideas out there?
