Hello Jan,
Befoer you start to use turning or milling inserts it is very
important that you tune up your machine!!!!!!
Adjust the gibs, the nuts and avoid vibrations.
One point many people often do not check is the toolpost or carriage basement.
Frequently it is worn on the base so that it can tilt and vibrate.
Any vibration will damage your inserts.
Another very important point is: If the insert is only 0.1mm of center it is in danger.
Specially cut of inserts break their tips easily.
