Was snooping around the drafting room during lunch and found a catalog from
Ain Plastics. They have a castable polyurethane that might work. It's
about $31 a pound though. You could use a polyester or nylon fabric for the
base and impregnate it with this stuff.

Another client of ours uses uncured rubber to make floor mats. Its soft
until they cook it and I suppose you could hold it in a form while baking.
Wife unit might not approve of using the kitchen oven but you could do it
while she's shopping.
