While there were some problems with early Cyrix chips with Linux, they were
mostly taken care of with the 200+ chips and newer (post 2.0) releases
of Linux. I've run emc with them for quite a while now.

The messages that you get mean that you were dropped into the text install
mode because the BDI didn't like something about your video definitions.
Did you jumper out the on-board video when you inserted the other video
card?

We discovered during NAMES that the text install is broken in this BDI
release. Paul has been working on it. We should have a fix soon. I'd
think that Paul will send you a beta of the fix for you to test.

I've got two Cyrix pr300 machines here and will do the BDI install with them
this evening and see what happens.
