Well, there are high speed spindle adaptors that clamp onto the spindle and
step up the speed by, say, a factor of 5. I think there might be a drawing of one
on the CAD_CAM... files section. Or, you can mount a router motor onto the
side of the quill. Or, you can stay with 1/4 to 1/2" end mills, and run the spindle
as fast as it goes for the 1/4", and everything should work fine. You don't have
to get the maximum SFPM cutting speed with most materials to get good
results.
