Hi Afogassa?,
From: afogassa@y...<As allways there is some bugs,it won't take "-"
machine coordinates
when setting up g54-g59 or g92.if one input let's say -.2" it changes
it back to a +.2" by itself. This makes it impossible to set the
machine "0" where you want.If one is using it to controll a gantry
type machine it should be all right, but if it's for a regular milling
machine than you'll have to live with only + movements from
machine "0".>
I had been struggling with Deskam+DeskNCW to generate toolpath using
metafile import from Microsoft clipart etc., into R14, exploding into
individual lines, exporting dxf file into deskam, then generating
toolpath using contour. I am used to setting z=0 at the workpiece
surface, so rapid is +z and cutting is -z, but deskam seem to
generate toolpath (contour) with all z +ive. How would one recognise
easily where (z=?) the workpiece surface is/should be?
Anyone like to pester Carl for real time simulation for
Deskam/DeskNCW? Currently, I am currently using "finger-time
simulation". I now have very strong and nimble forefinger from right-
clicking on the mouse for "continuous" single step movements - poor
man's real time simulation!!!
