Indeed, if your shape can be defined with a few simple mathimatical statements,
then it can sometimes be quicker to write a short script to generate the
toolpaths than a CADCAM package.
I did a 100 line BASIC program to generate a 6000 line program for a Heidenhain
control - A small flywheel with curved tapered spokes.
