Is the MOTOR DC, or is the Feedback DC? Not clear.

Don't know. These are the only info given on an eBay auction item.
For Gecko 3XX, can I use any old dual shaft stepper, add a quadrature
rotary encoder to it? Will this turn a stepper into a servo?
