In the Red Hat "Control Panel" there is an RPM manager, that brings up all
possible packages on the CD, but hides all that are already installed.
You just click on the ones you want to install, and it does it. It also can
warn you of dependencies of one package on another, so you don't
leave out a necessary component.

This definitely saves a lot of work.
