I know that some motherboard makers are still offering 1 ISA slot with
current processors.

I have run up to 28,000 using steppermod. Don't know if Freqmod (the
basis for smdromod) is up to that high a step rate. If it is you will
need a fast computer.

For steppers than Gecko G210a. They are pulse multipliers so you
actually drive them at a lower rate.
