Oh, really, that is SO easy to fix! You can turn off scrolling as
a parameter in /etc/XF86Config or set it to do scrolling in smaller
increments. Yes, it was really annoying. Since I didn't have a
monitor good enough for 1024 x 768 (who'd want to put a good
monitor where it will get metal chips and coolant spray?) I set it
to scroll slowly rather than jump a page, but if you have a good
monitor, then you can just turn it off, or set the virtual screen the
same size as the physical screen.

Is the BDI completely stable for you? I've just had it up a week, and
I've gotten the system to hang 3 times already!
