Re: BDI install with DRO/Encoder board

I sorely need it too.

I've built a 4 axis grinder complete with
encoder scales on the table and was planning
on running closed loop steppers using the
smdromod motion module in EMC.

Right now the issue has been presented to the
BDI authors and NIST guys via the NIST mailing
list.

I guess, I'm hoping, that maybe I can get around
the problem by downloading an older run of EMC
and compile it on my machine. I'm not an OS
guy so I'm hoping to avoid this route!

The free version of Deskncrt I believe supports
closed loop steppers. I can't use it because I have
to interface some probing routines into the software.
