RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] BDI install with DRO/Encoder board

The BDI installs a version of the RedHat operating system. It is a
complete operating system and some people have replaces their use of
Windows with it. It installs with Netscape as the browser.

As far as I know there would be no advantace to having the DRO card when
you install the BDI. You could install and start using one of the other
motion modules to get going as you are waiting for the board. Just as a
warning, it seems that there are some problems currently with the closed
loop stepper module working on the BDI. Don't think the error has been
located yet, but it is looking like some changes were made to other
parts of the program and smdromod.o was not updated at the same time.
