Also take a look at www.linuxcnc.org/bdi for known problem boards.
Steer clear of anything with onboard video or LAN - One or two of the Trident
graphics cards also cause trouble..
Intel 440 and VIA chipsets both work fine for me as does Rage II AGP, Virage
S3, Mach 64, and Appian graphics cards. The older hardware works very well with
Linux.
When looking at the hardware compatabilty lists, look for RedHat 6.x - This is
what the BDI is built around.
