EMC BDI Urgent help needed!

I was able to have EMC simulate programs within two hours but have spent
the last week trying to get online. FYI the 3Com USR 2976 modem works
great. There's a small RPM on 3Com's web site that makes it easy.

I can dial in and stay connected fine with Kppp.

The LinuxCnc.org icon shows and error "unknown host". Netscape will load
but not connect even if Kppp is connected.

Extensive reading suggests that I have a problem in my /etc./resolve.conf
file, but that file does not exist on my machine. Is it part of the BDI
install? If not where do I find it?

Can the LinuxCnc.org and Netscape be configured to dial automatically or do
I need to use Kppp 1st?
