assuming that you are referring to rapid moves. If you are having
trouble, try the Vector Demo. It will allow you to shift-select the
direction and order of all cuts, check your order and direction of
selection, permanently connect them with retractions, and save as an
ordered dxf toolpath with YOUR desired cutting strategy. Vector-Cam
can also react to the retractions and produce special commands(in
your G-code program) that will enable you to automatically turn a
laser or plasma unit on and off at the beginning/end of each
contour. It can also generate M codes to control torch lift.
Vector-Cad can also process a scanned DXF file to create arc fitted
splines instead of the usual "hair" that results from this process
(with most programs). These scanned bit map pictures are usually
translated to a DXF file format by programs that are called raster to
vector converters.
