EMC installation instructions...

Hi,

OK, I have the EMC program downloaded and rtlinux apparently installed
and working on my other hard drive. I downloaded the version of EMC for
four disks... aaa, aab, aac, and aad. I presume I have to put these
onto diskettes to load them onto the hard drive. Do these need to be on
linux formatted disks or msdos formatted disks? How do I get all this
installed? How do I put these files back into one file again? I think
I downloaded a manual but its gone now (I had to reinstall my linux...
everything is gone except what I downloaded today...) Can anyone point
me toward the manual for EMC again, please.

On another related but different area... I plan to have my cnc cut its
own spindle for R-8 collets. I already cut the outside of the spindle
nose but I don't know the dimensions of a "standard" R-8 collet. One of
the ones I measured has a 0.949 inch diameter on the top straight end
but what angle is the cone shaped part supposed to be? My guess is it
could be either an angle in degrees or a certain number of inches per
foot taper or something entirely different. Does anyone have that
information or know where I can get it?

I'm getting closer to having my system up and running... Well, actually
it IS up and running with an AHHA control system but I want my second
machine to be controlled with EMC.
