If you want to keep the pictures at full resolution, save at full resolution,
then
"shrink" the images with software of your choice. Shareware that I use (on
Windows) is Graphic Workstation for Windows, I found it on one of the
Web software archives, probably wuarchive.wustl.edu

I put pictures in my eBay sales, but I don't do the enlargement stuff.
I think there may be a page on eBay itself that explains how to do that.
