Bipolar will give you more torque from a given motor which is particularly
useful at higher motor speeds. Really no downside to bipolar other than that
they generally cost more.
Home & limit switches don't hook directly to the drive, but to the computer
that is directing them. The power supply hookup to a Gecko is very straight
forward Power supply + to the + terminal, power supply - to the - terminal.
