step multiplier

Hi

In which post did I read that one need not bother with that
troublesome +5V if one use the G210 rather than the G201? Is there a
schematics for a stepper driver using the G210 in the file section or
somewhere?

Plus if one can cannibalise a step multiplier from somewhere (a G340
perhaps) and put that into a G201 then it become a G210 and I can
forget about that +5V. ?
