Hmm, anyone have code for generating large ASCII-art numbers? I know I
saw it done in basic once and could probably rewrite it in a half hour.

Perhaps I'll have to go poke around in source files... I'm still using
the version of EMC based on RH 5.2 as it seems fairly stable and I
invested some time in writing a custom servo board driver which of
course I am not actually using given that I have steppers on the machine...

I am glad to see that the umsdos file system 'trial' install idea has
already been implemented.
