The ECS K7SEM uses an SiS730S chipset - I have always had trouble with
anything that had SiS inside !
If you want to run Linux/EMC or just plain old BDI EMC, pick a Via chipset
instead. The Intel 815 works quite well after the on board graphics has been
disabled.
