I found one of those monitor/keyboard arms to get the monitor off
your desk. I welded up a bracket and attached it to the side of the
mill. I got a keyboard spill cover that was custom made for my keyboard
from Newark Electronics. It won't really handle blue-hot chips so
well, but it can take a few here and there. i was more worried about
cold chips coming off my fingers into the keyboard, as well as
splashes of coolant. I have a piece of Plexiglas attached to the
side of the monitor that pretty much shields the keyboard and
monitor from the direct chips. the ones that get to the monitor or
kbd have bounced off me or something else in the area. I've used this
for a year or more, and it is still in good shape.
