Hi Carl,
DOS really doesn't get into the calculations for a program! DOS handles
the files, and loads your programs, typically not much more for a
controller program. The processor (CPU) and/or the math co-processor,
on the other hand, do! I've never heard of a "number chain error".
Domain errors, Divide by zero errors, NAN (not a number) errors,
others. These are all MATH related, and DOS is out of the picture!
Either it's the processor, or the "math emulation package" (a software
library) that the controller program is built with.
