Thanks Tim, I was totally frustraded when I wrote the post last night. too
many conflicting drawings.
I am wanting to use the Gecko G320/G340 FAULT/RESET MANAGER circuit, that I
have a drawing of. I assume that I can still use a STDT Center Off switch as
a reset, and Estop with that circuit, applying the voltage from the switch to
the common ERR/RES terminals. Is the ERR/RES terminal to subject to line
noise problems, as it looks like it would be a good place to bring in a stop
signal from the machine EStop button.
I have one servo and Gecko 320 breadboarded on the bench now, and working
well.
I am really impressed on how the servo works compared to a regular DC motor.
My step signal source is a bit slow, so can't do speed but it works, and no
Magic smoke came out.
It looks like the servos that I have will be more than adequate for the
Compact 5 PC lathe, I have not tried them yet on the Sherline mill, but
hopefully soon. Have to make bushings for the small shafts on the motors.
Might try to get them made tonight.
