Ian,
No, nothing is plugged into the parallel port now. I need to make up a
cable for my machine anyway so I will just do it. Curiosity says I will
ground pin 13 before I do anything though... I'm not patient unless I
absolutely have to be. This has stretched my patience farther than I
would normally go!
