I went back and reinstalled the Oct-18th release and it does work with the
MIN_LIMIT_SWITCH_POLARITY and MAX_LIMIT_SWITCH_POLARITY set to 0. If there
were limit switches actually installed, it would probably work with them
set to 1.
(This was all regarding the "not able to get out of ESTOP" condition that a
lot of us were having.)
