I've proposed this a couple of times with zero expressed interest.
I can't say there isn't any interest, but nobody has shown any.

That's market research; if nobody expresses any interest, then I'll
devote my resources to activities that pay the bills.

Part of our business is supplying Linux servers. We've
been doing that for years.

I will probably still do this, but it's not a high priority task right
now. If I did this, it would probably be a 1-2 gig IDE drive ready to
go for around $100. SCSI could be done as well, maybe add $10-20. 1
yr drive warranty, plus shipping, MI residents add tax, yadda yadda.
4-6 Gig IDE drive, probably $160, 3-5 yr warranty. Is anyone
interested?

Once you have a working system, upgrading it is pretty straightforward.
Getting it working in the first place can be lots of fun.
