Hi Tom

yes the phase stepping from EMC can be adapted to the Taig drivers
but you will need an external adapter board with a hex inverter chip to
do the translation (using only one motor as an example)

the normal full step sequence for a stepper motor
X1 & X2 are never on at the same time (X2 gets an inverted M0-P1 signal)
X3 & X4 are never on at the same time (X4 gets an inverted M0-P2 signal)
and M0- P1 & P2 are in quadrature phase

I would hit radio-shack for the inverter chip (7414) a breadboard and
a few LEDs to test the setup before I fed it to the motors
